most versatile dog breeds that I know of.
They were originally breed by the poor Swiss
farmer to do the work of a horse. Today many
still help out on farms but lots are found in the
cities too.
Swissys are know for their even temperaments
and over all pleasant dispositions. Most Swissys
are tri colored and should be large enough to do
the work they were originally bred to do.
The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is a good
family companion. Many families have fun with
their Swissys doing weight pulling competition;
AKC conformation; obedience trials; tracking;
drafting/carting; and herding, just to name a few
of the many events Swissys are involved in.
