Polish Lowland Sheepdog

The Polish Lowland Sheepdog is a shaggy breed
originally used for herding sheep.  We have the
Polish people to thank for this wonderful breed.
They are commonly refereed to as the PON
which stands for Polski Owczarel Nizinny.
PONs are typically reserved with strangers but
devoted to their families.  They are always
watchful and ready to protect their "flock".  They
are known for their intelligence and ability to
remember things.
Although originally bred to herd they are used
today in many fun and competitive events.  You
can find PONs in AKC conformation rings;
herding events; obedience trials; and agility.
The Polish Lowland loves to give hugs and are
the best pooch kissers I know.
